Hammond Bay Residences Awarded Best in Affordable Housing
Ballenas Housing Society’s newest building has been awarded best Affordable Housing project at the 17th Annual Vancouver Island Commercial Building Awards. The awards ceremony was held on April 11, 2024, at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre where representatives from the 44 finalists gathered for awards presentations in a variety of categories.
Hammond Bay Residences, located at 6010 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo and designed by Murdoch and Co, was completed in Fall 2023 by Westmark Construction Ltd. This beautiful 4-storey apartment building features 53 rental homes with balconies, full kitchens, and washrooms featuring walk-in showers. Shared laundry is offered on all floors and secure parking is available below the building.
